Scissor Sisters live at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire, 16 May 2012

16/05/2012. Scissor Sisters live at O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire. Scissor Sisters comprise Jake Shears and Ana Matronic as vocalists, Babydaddy as multi-instrumentalist, Del Marquis as lead guitar/bassist, and Randy Real as drummer (who replaced Paddy Boom). The band took their name from a sexual position between two women also known as tribadism. Photo credit - Richard Isaac (Richard Isaac)

I’m glad I arrived early to check out Little Boots, who was great to watch.  With only three photographers in the pit we had plenty of room to breathe – it was a different story for Scissor Sisters, by the time they came on stage there were fifteen of us and the pit was as chocka as Shepherd’s Bush Empire which was full to the brim.

Scissor Sisters were high energy and all over the stage with a great performance as you’d expect, the pit was a right scrum, but I was pretty happy with my shots despite that.   Scissor Sisters’ new album Magic Hour will be released in the UK later this month, plus their playing at the BT River of Music as part of the London 2012 festival, so it was really cool to catch them in such an intimate venue by comparison.

If you’re a magazine or blog and want to use any of these pics for editorial, they have been filed with London News Pictures/IDS.  If you’re a fan and would like prints of any of them, click the gallery below or any of the pictures and it will take you to my Photoshelter site where you can order them, yay! (and where there’s a few more that aren’t shown below).
