If it was seeing the Olympic Torch relay come to London when I realized the Olympics was finally nearly here, then it was seeing these amazing athletes that really made it hit home how fantastic it was that London is holding the Olympics.   Hearing the whole of Hyde Park roar their adoration of them made me feel absolutely proud to bits to be British.  Can’t wait to go and see the Athletic’s Relay finals this Friday, come on Team Great Britain! 🙂

Friday 3 August

The two medal winning Canoe Doubles teams, Tim Baille and Etienne Stott who won Gold, and David Florence and Richard Hounslow who won Silver.  I was chatting to Etienne backstage, lovely guy and clearly feeling on top of the world.  He was kind enough to let me hold his medal – wow they’re heavy!

Peter Wilson on the Shooting team who won Gold in the Double Trap.  He was absolutely buzzing and jumped off the stage down and walked the entire length of the front row, high fiving, hugging and shaking hands all the way.

Sat 4th August

Cyclist Bradley Wiggins, Time Trial Gold medalist and Tour De France winner.

Judo medallists Karina Bryant (Bronze, >78kgs) and Gemma Gibson (Silver, <78kgs).   Good going Gemma for winning despite a broken thumb!

Sun 5th August

The crowd cheering Andy Murray as he gives Roger Federer a pasting to take Gold in straight sets.  Bosh!

Dani King all smiles, Gold medal winning cyclist in the Team Pursuit along with team mates Laura Trott and Joanna Rowsell.

Jessica Ennis, who had Hyde Park in bits when she won Gold in the Heptathlon.

Saturday 11th August

Plans to put a band on stage were put on ice to instead play the Men’s Football Final between Mexico and Brazil, much to the approval of the two countries impressive contingents of fans who had come along to watch.   The game resulted in an unexpected 2-0 win to Mexico, and the atmosphere across Hyde Park was charged but good natured.

Jade Jones and Lutalo Muhammed of the Team GB UK Taekwondo team who won Gold and Bronze respectively.

The Team GB Women’s Hockey team – all of them!

A cute girl in the front row cheering the Hockey Team, I wonder what she wants to be when she grows up…?

Towards the end of the evening everyone was treated to a massive assortment of Team GB medalwinneres who had come along especially.
