Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds live at Hammersmith Apollo, 26/10/13

I’ve wanted to shoot Nick Cave since seeing him play at Primavera Barcelona, he blew me away and was in my mind one of the top 2/3 performances of the festival.   However its well known (in music circles at least) that he ain’t too fond of photographers, allowing us just the one song to shoot instead of the usual three.  I had heard stories of him staying at the back of the stage at shows for that one song, or having the lights down really low, so I was fairly happy that he came forward with pretty reasonable lighting.   He looks fairly reserved in the pics though – I stayed to watch the show after ‘our song’ and with the photographers out of the way he really let rip.  Great show.
