Palma Violets live at The Boston Arms, 10/1/13

There’s me thinking “Yeah Rich, first gig of the year, ease yourself back in gently like.”   Tonight with Palma Violets in the photo-pitless Boston Arms the chance of that happening was zero.   By the end of the second/last support act the sold out venue was only three quarters full, then ast the minutes neared their onstage time BOOM!!! the place was mobbed.  The band hit mach 10 on the Raucousness scale from they minute they hit the stage and the crowd went nuts.  Us poor ickle photographers were getting bashed around senseless up against the stage, and with crowd surfers and stage invaders coming over the top it was one of those gigs you’ve just gotta soak up and enjoy.   A great start to the gigging year, I write this soaked in sweat, cider and beer and have been forced to cut short my beer free new year with a cold one.
